Roadster and Kunhadi launch safe road crossing

January 26, 2012

Roadster diner, in collaboration with Kunhadi, launched a safe road crossing in front of International College (IC) in Ras Beirut, on January 19. The new road crossing is equipped with all of the security measures to ensure the safety of all students, with clearly marked signs leading up to the entrance of the school, a zebra crossing with reflectors and speed limit signs.

'Today we celebrate a fruitful collaboration between Kunhadi, IC, and Roadster diner', said Samer Chehlaoui, CEO of Roadster. 'With this safe road crossing, we have played a part in creating a better place for our children, where safety is a priority, and where they can focus on their education while parents rest assured that all the proper safety measures have been put in place'.

Representatives from Kunhadi, IC, and Roadster gave short speeches to commemorate the new road crossing, which was dedicated to Talal Kassem, a young IC student who passed away tragically as a result of a traffic accident. Representatives from the press and leading TV stations were present.

This collaboration between Roadster and a leading NGO in Lebanon is part of Roadster’s commitment to social responsibility. As of last year, Roadster made corporate social responsibility one of the company’s core values, and as such, hopes to be a part of many such projects that benefit the community at large.
