Jamil Ali Hammoud is Dean of the College of Business Administration and Professor of Economics and Business at Rafik Hariri University. He has over 25 years of progressive experience, 15 years of which are in academics and higher education, and 10 years in industry—especially information technology, banking and financial services, in the United States, France and Lebanon.
Professor Hammoud is an active researcher and scholar on issues of sustainable development, the knowledge economy, financial markets and strategic planning. His publication profile boosts over 20 research papers, book chapters and conference presentations. He is also a frequent columnist and writer, as he had written for the Daily Star, Al Hayat and Al Balad among other newspapers, and he currently writes a weekly column for AlMadarnet.
For the past couple of years, Professor Hammoud has been proactively engaged in research work about the emerging economic and societal impacts of technological change and progress, especially as they pertain to higher education, and with an eye on sustainability.
